Irish Bouldering League 2026/2027

The competition is open to all levels of climber, and each round lasts for approximately a two-week period. This is a great opportunity to climb and socialise with others, whilst still testing your skills on a great selection of competition style problems.

Venues & Dates

The venues, start date and finish date for each of the rounds are as follows:

Entry

• You must complete all of the normal entry requirements of the host climbing wall.

Scoring Format

Each boulder problem will have marked starting handholds, a Bonus hold and a Top hold. Here's the scoring format:

Competition Categories

Each competition category will have thirty problems to attempt. The competition categories are based on age and gender. The competition categories are as follows:

• Competitors must be 14 years of age and older on the day of the competition.
• The entry and supervision policy of host venues must be adhered to.
• Proof of age may be required.
• Age is taken at the first round competed in.

Rules

When entering the competition, all competitors must read, understand and accept the rules of the competition. Please take note of Age categories and Anti-Doping policies.
