Cancelled - Knockmealdown Crossing 2020 - Peaks Mountaineering Club

This year’s Knockmealdown Crossing is cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Ireland.  

Peaks Mountaineering Club, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary will hold their Annual KNOCKMEALDOWN CROSSING on Saturday 25th April 2020.

There will be 3 walks, to cater for all. 

Walk A is a challenge walk, self-navigating, 32km with a height gain of 1,500m requiring a high level of fitness.

Walk B is a lead walk, 20km with a height gain of 800m approx., requiring a good level of fitness.

Walk C is a lead walk, 17.5km, all on treks and trails, suitable for “Camino Walkers”.


All walks will take you over the Scenic Knockmealdown Mountains, which overlook the village of Newcastle, where registration takes place and all facilities, parking, etc., are to hand.  All walkers will be bused to the start of each walk, and on finishing a meal will be served in the Community Centre.
