Women 20 x 20 Campaign

If She can't see it, She can't be it

To emphasize active support for women within mountaineering, hillwalking and climbing, Mountaineering Ireland is one of the proud participants of the national 20x20 campaign. We hope that participation in the campaign will help to introduce women to the various disciplines across mountaineering. It will help to create a positive atmosphere and a supportive and fair culture from the outset and throughout participation.

The Women 20x20 Campaign supports Mountaineering Ireland’s events dedicated to women like Women With Altitude

and Women’s Rock Festival and helps to draw focus to the Irish female role models across mountaineering, climbing and hillwalking.

It is addressed to all female award holders, who provide skills in ‘’ mountaineering’’ meaning hillwalking and climbing, female indoor and outdoor climbing coaches, skill providers, trainers; indoor & outdoor instructors who deliver training in climbing & hillwalking skills.

To participate, follow the link below.

Survey ends on Friday the 19th of June.

The findings from this survey and the subsequent study will enable Sport Ireland to develop resources, programmes and strategies that can support the ongoing work of the National Governing Bodies (NGBs) including Mountaineering Ireland and Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs), as well as advising them on future work plans in the topic of females in coaching.
