On the 25th May 2019, Mountaineering Ireland will host a rock climbing day aimed at prospective Belfast Youth Climbing Club members based at a crag in the Mournes - weather permitting.

  • If you're an independent traditional climber, please come along and enjoy a social day's trad climbing with everyone.

  • If you're keen to learn the skills of rock climbing to become an independent traditional climber, please feel free to sign up to the trad climbers improver's workshop, delivered by a qualified mountaineering instructor and funded by Mountaineering Ireland.

  • If you're keen to just try out rock climbing as a family under the guidance of a qualified rock climbing instructor and funded by Mountaineering Ireland, please signup to the Family Rock Climbing Day.

We will aim to meet at a location in the Mournes at 10am and be back at the car park for 5pm.

Spaces are limited and registration for these club rock climbing days is essential, so please register by emailing
