Masterplan for Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains National Park
A Masterplan for Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains National Park is being developed to improve the visitor experience in Co. Wicklow. As Glendalough and the wider Wicklow Mountains are important to many hillwalkers and climbers, Mountaineering Ireland is encouraging its members to participate in public consultation which is now underway.
Take a look at the project storyboards (link below) and respond by participating in a drop-in consultation on Zoom, by completing an online questionnaire, and by sharing your views with Mountaineering Ireland.
Mountaineering Ireland will be responding to this consultation, and all views received from members will help inform our response. Please email your comments to helen@mountaineering.ie, if possible before Tuesday 2nd March.
This Masterplan has been commissioned by Fáilte Ireland, working with its strategic partners the Office of Public Works (OPW), National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) and Coillte along with the National Monuments Service and Wicklow County Council.
Further information on this consultation, including the storyboards mentioned above, is available on the Wicklow County Council website, link HERE
