Recent surges in the transmission of COVID-19 has caused the imposition of increased restrictions in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The key information for hillwalkers and climbers relating to these restrictions is:

In both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland club activity should cease for the period of these current restrictions.
- Travel – adhere to travel restrictions, do not car-share
- Parking – car parks may be busier due to no car-sharing
- Planning – the days are shorter and the weather is changeable
- Contact tracing – record details of all group members for contact tracing purposes
- Social distancing – maintain distance before, during and after activity
- Equipment – do not share equipment
- Symptoms & contacts – stay at home if you have any symptoms or have been a close contact
