Title:  Northern Ireland - COVID-19 Restrictions - update
Date:  27/11/2020

From Friday 27th of November, and lasting for two weeks, an increased level of COVID-19 related restrictions will be in place Northern Ireland.

Having reviewed the information on the new restrictions Mountaineering Ireland would like to convey the following to hillwalkers and climbers in Northern Ireland.

You should only leave your home for essential purposes such as education, healthcare needs, to care for others, or outdoor exercise. As such you are permitted to leave your home to go hillwalking and / or climbing. 

Individual / household outdoor exercise can continue. If going hillwalking or climbing, only do so on an individual basis or with members of your household. As such club and / or group activities must cease for the period of these restrictions.

Please remember that some carparks and outdoor amenities may be closed or busy, make sure you have a back-up plan.

Please plan your activity appropriately, be mindful of changeable weather and shorter days at this time of year.
