MOUNTAIN LOG COWBOY COUNTRY 53 Unfortunately for us, the weather confined us to lower levels. We ascended to Rendezvous Point (3,185m), where a blizzard hit, and crampons were necessary. The circuit of Jenny Lake with its detour up to Inspiration Point was, however, most rewarding. SOME USEFUL TIPS This was a self-guided trip. We booked our air fares as a group, and we found all we needed to know about the walks via guidebooks and the internet. The best times to visit these areas would be early or late summer, to avoid wildfires and school holidays. Pictured this page: Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park.
