Photo: @coachnsettergav COMPETITION SEASON Competition season got into full flow in spring and early summer this year. The Irish Boulder Championships took place at the end of March, before the Irish Lead Championships in early June, which marked the start of the international lead season. Those who have been selected to represent Ireland at international competitions have achieved great results in the boulder season and are now preparing to take on the rest of Europe and the world in the lead competitions. IRISH BOULDER CHAMPIONSHIPS The Irish Boulder Championships took place on March 30th and 31st at Bloc Climbing Gym in Dublin. This was the first time that Bloc hosted the champs for us, and we also attracted a host of sponsors, including Digital Climbing Holds, Ibex, Holding Grips and Blokholds, who provided holds of an international standard, which challenged and tested the competitors’ strength and skill. 103
