Northern Ireland Inter- Schools Comp results

The inter-schools competition was a big success, with 42 competitors representing 7 schools.

The comp followed the same format as the YCS, with competitors attempting 3 routes and 3 boulder problems, with points gained for every hold reached.

Outstanding performances came from Under 15 Boys Jamie Rankin (Methody) 1st place on 480 (full points) and Dominic Burns (St Patricks) 2nd place on 478. 1st place in Under 15 Girls went to Rachel Hodgson (Monkstown Community Sch.) and joint 2nd to Kate Monaghan (Aquinas) and TJ O'Neill (Little Flower)

In the senior category, the standard of competition was very high. Jake Haddock took 1st place for Campbell, with Tim Mc Glinchey (Methody) and Andrew Colligan (Friends) in 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the senior girls, 1st went to Lucy Mitchell (Grosvenor) with Katie Maxwell and Rachel Cooper (both Methody) close behind.

A huge thank-you to everyone involved- especially route-setters- Eddie, Ricky and Rob and everyone who helped on the day- Margi, Anja and Paul. A huge thanks also to all the teachers who made such a big effort to bring teams to the event.
