Climbing Wall Directory

Climbing walls can be a great place to get started; they provide a relatively safe environment and don’t suffer from wet and cold weather like the real thing!

Most climbing walls will require you to sign a form, or to demonstrate that you can use all safety equipment safely, before letting you use their facility. The entry requirements will vary from wall to wall; don’t assume that because you have passed a ‘belay test’ in one climbing wall you’ll automatically be allowed to use others, you should contact the wall in advance to check their regulations.

There are a number of different disciplines of climbing which may be catered for at your local wall.

The Mountaineering Council of Ireland accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information of information provided on each climbing wall.  Please contact each wall directly in relation to access and opening hours.
