Queens University, Belfast

Queens University PEC, Botanic Park, Belfast BT9 5EX  Location: Botanic Gardens, Belfast. Car park accessed from Lagan embankment.

Cost: Annual membership £210 (adult, non-student membership) Non-members can use the wall as the guest of a member, or when part of a group booking.


Type of wall: The lead climbing wall, abseil tower, chimney and bouldering cave have been designed to cater for a wide range of abilities by providing walls of differing angles and incorporating different types of climbing features. It offers a wide range of climbing experience for all ability levels from beginner to the experienced climber. It is flexible in use, catering for mixed ability groups and/or multiple groups undertaking different activities at the same time. The wall is approx 10 metres in height and 20 metres wide scaling both floors of the extension.

Routes: Good grade range, leading, top-roping, bouldering.
Equipment: Harnesses available to hire

Clubs: Queens University Belfast Mountaineering Club

Classes: Introductory classes for adults and children available, contact the centre for details.
