Who are the workshops for?
Members aged 18-24 from Mountaineering Ireland clubs, Third level / University Mountaineering Clubs and other like minded young people who are interested in the outdoors and developing their mountaineering skills. These workshops are an excellent opportunity to look at the skills needed to be safe and confident in the mountain environment, both in summer and winter conditions.
What will be on offer?
Two exciting weekends looking at developing topics such as; navigation, route choice, leadership, mountain hazards, mountain weather, emergency rope work, single and multi-pitch climbing.
When and where are the weekends?
The next training weekend will be held on 2nd - 3rd April, 2016 and be based in the Wicklow Mountains. Please contact the Training Officer (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more details.

What happens next?
A Scottish Youth Meet will annually run alongside the Mountaineering Ireland Winter Meet. Participants from these workshops will get the opportunity to further progress and apply their skills in the winter environment. Click here
