The Mountain Leader (ML) and Walking Group Leader (WGL) are the nationally accepted qualifications for the commercial and professional leading of groups in the hills and mountains of Ireland. Holders of these awards are extensively trained and assessed (generally over a number of years) in the many aspects of safety, group management and other skills required to provide a safe and enjoyable leadership role for groups wishing to experience the Irish uplands.
