How do I become a member of Mountaineering Ireland?

How do I become a member of Mountaineering Ireland? There are three types of membership of Mountaineering Ireland; Individual membership, Club Membership and Associate Organisation membership. No matter which route you choose you gain the benefits of Mountaineering Ireland Membership.

Individual membership
If you would like to join as an individual member you can join in one of three ways

1. Join online right now, 24 hours a day.

2. Phone us on (+353 1) 625 1115 during office hours and use your credit or debit card.

3. Download a membership form and post it into our office.  You can send a cheque or postal order or you can give us your credit or debit card details.

There are a wide range of membership options for individuals, families, and youth members (under 18). Alternatively you can also fill out an application form and send it with the correct fee to us in the Mountaineering Ireland Office.

You will receive your Mountaineering Ireland membership card when you pay your membership fee (Typically within 7-10 working days). If you need further assistance contact the Mountaineering Ireland on (+353 1) 625 1115.

Membership Fees 2010
Individual membership (Ireland and Northern Ireland)
€44.20

Individual membership (UK except Northern Ireland) €48.00

Individual membership (Europe & rest of World) €54.20

Additional adult family members €25.80

Additional family members under 18 €10.50

Individual youth member (under 18) €15.00

 
How do I become a member of Mountaineering Ireland?

Club Membership
There are over 130 Mountaineering Ireland clubs in Ireland (North and South) and you can find details of your nearest club on our
find my nearest club page. Simply click on the map and select your county, you will then find details of the activities of that club and a contact for the club.  Most clubs have activities each week. Some of the clubs have their own web sites which list forthcoming activities.

Go along and give the club a try and join the club directly. You will then receive your Mountaineering Council of Ireland membership card when you pay your membership fee. If you need further information contact Mountaineering Ireland, email: info (at) mountaineering.ie

Mountaineering Ireland Associate Organisation Membership
The Mountaineering Ireland Associate Organisation scheme supports a range of valuable Mountaineering Ireland work, as well as providing our associates with a variety benefits for their organisation and staff.

Mountaineering Ireland values the support of Associates from a wide range of backgrounds, from retail and industry to climbing walls, outdoor centres and schools. Through their support, Associates are investing in the wide-ranging work that Mountaineering Ireland undertakes
